Our Supports and Services

Indigenous Calendar
We have developed an Indigenous Calendar that outlines Indigenous days of significance throughout the year, along with a short description and a link to resources that can be used to help educate, celebrate, and/or participate.

Cultural Holidays & International Days of Awareness Calendar

This calendar was created with the intent to bring awareness of cultural holidays, International days of awareness and days that honour specific groups throughout the calendar year. This is meant to help BGC Clubs learn about these days to be more inclusive. Clubs may use this resource at their own discretion as it fits within their policies.
BGC Canada’s Anti-Racism Toolkit & Activity Guide
This toolkit and activity guide is one of several efforts BGC Canada is making at a national level to identify and recognize the barriers our members face and to support equity, diversity, and inclusion commitments more explicitly in BGC Club programs.
The purpose of this toolkit is to support and enhance conversations around anti-racism and help Club staff and volunteers consider and confront racism and oppression in an active, empathic, and self-reflective way.
The toolkit includes the following sections:
- Anti-Racism Key Concepts to help you explore and expand your understanding of the principles
- Implementation Guidance with tips and suggestions on ways to support anti-racist programming
- Activities you can run as needed
BGC Canada’s 2S & LGBTQIA+ Toolkit
BGC Canada’s journey into equity, diversity, and inclusion is entrenched in our core values of Belonging, Respect, Encouragement & Support, Working Together, and Speaking Out. 2S & LGBTQIA+ inclusion and affirmation in the workplace is not a matter of lip service or identity politics—it is a matter of living by and honouring our BGC values.
Our new 2S & LGBTQIA+ toolkit is meant to continue the journey towards equity, diversity, and inclusion by providing resources and education that empower Club leaders to entrench 2S & LGBTQIA+ inclusion into all levels of the organization. It has been provided to senior-level BGC staff, as well as decision makers, as a starting point to workplace inclusion for sexually and gender diverse people and a roadmap to concrete and actionable goals.
We are committed to creating an environment where gender diverse staff and youth accessing Club services feel safe, welcomed, valued, and respected.
